GREEN LIFE presents adventurous environmental education workshop
“ The Green Week” in Tervete Nature Park from 8th till 12th August, Latvia.

The lecturers from Nordic and Baltic States invite everyone to participate in the environmental educational camp
“THE GREEN WEEK, where they will help to built-up skills and knowledge as:

• Daily Eco life: Johanna Sunikka (Finland); Sigita Baronaite (Lithuania); Jolanta Uktveryte (Lithuania), Inga Ringailaite (Lithuania)>>> this educational program will provide knowledge about environmental goods. Lecturers will explain what are impacts on the environment and the human health done i by different households, food and other products, how to orient oneself in the wide range of produce and what choices can be done;

• Environmental journalism: Erkki Peetsalu (Finland); Sigita Baronaite (Lithuania) >>> this training program will provide insight into environmental journalism - where to look for stories, what environmental issues are topical, what are the aims and tasks of research journalism. Similarly, the training program will include some practical exercises of information collection, compilation, presentation;

• Waste: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Lotta Palomaki (Finland); Rita Bubina (Latvia); Irma Maroziene (Lithuania)>>> within the framework of training program participants will be educated about the importance of waste sorting, collection and recuse of recycled raw materials, and will get knowledge why people must reduce the waste and how it influences the environmental system;

• Global environmental processes - here and now: Liga Zute-Abizāre (Latvia), Inga Ringailaite (Lithuania)>>> wide point of view on various global environmental processes - what is natural and what happens as a result of different human consequences;

• Outdoor life: Inga Petersone (Latvia) >>> Practical education programme with various activities of living outdoor. In particular workshops you will learn techniques of making campfire, orienteering in the field and so on.

How to apply? Reserve your time from 8th till 12th August, 2011 , fill the application form, send it till 31st May, 2011 to tatjana@ekomedia.lv (Tatyana Jakovleva) and get prepared for educational adventure! We can host merely 10 participants from one country, but the total number of participants is 40. Particular skills or knowledge is not necessary. Working language is English.
